BRIEF
Logistics Firm AV Dawson wanted to promote the facilities at its Teesside Hub and explain its service offer to both new and existing clients. The film was to enhance the company’s online presence and in presentations, but it also had to work at trade stands and so had to work for people viewing without sound.
CONCEPT
The impressive scale of the firm’s operations meant it was an obvious choice to film much of the site with our in house drone to create dramatic pictures. But clients don’t buy the machines and cranes, they buy the services they deliver. So to provide a complete picture of what AV Dawson can do for clients, we decided to set the pictures of the facilities alongside facts that appeared as on screen graphics.
CREATE
We worked closely with the firm to develop a script that would encapsulate its services and made a number of site visits pre-production to ensure we got the most out of filming days. We realised that if we filmed efficiently, we could create a second film at the same time that would feature interviews with staff and directors. These two films would give the firm flexibility to appeal to a wide range of clients in a variety of settings. We needed to film the arrival of various shipments and deliveries so it was essential that we were flexible with our scheduling, whilst being prudent with the allocated budget.
CONNECT
The films were delivered on budget and on time and are being used extensively to promote the firm to clients old and new. AV Dawson have told us the films are already showing a return on investment and say:
“We know the finished product will help more of our stakeholders (including prospects) to understand who AV Dawson is and feel positive about the business. We have a few edits of the finished product which gives us the flexibility to use this in more applications, which increases its ROI. This now means it can become part of more sales journeys, meaning more of our prospects will have a relevant opportunity to view it. “
